When will I receive instructions?
We send out instructions via email 2 weeks prior to race day.
What if I commit to volunteering and then I cannot fulfill my commitment?
You are responsible for finding your replacement and calling Piper Ruiz with the name, phone number and email address of your replacement. Emails sent on race day will not be received. We count on you to follow through - cancelling without providing your replacement is not an option. If you cancel, you are responsible for forwarding your instructions to your replacement and putting that person in touch with Piper at 541-731-3507.
Can I request a specific role?
Yes, submit a message through our contact us page with your availability and preference. Be sure to include your name, phone number and email address. Or, call Piper Ruiz at 541-731-3507.
Credits must be used within 1 year of issue date and will be emailed to volunteers who sign up for shifts in advance and fulfill their commitments on race day. Credits must be used during online registration and can be given away to a friend/family member, etc. Online credit codes will be emailed to volunteers the week after the race. All race credits (discounts and comp entries) must be used at least 1 week prior to race day for the event for which you want to use them. Credits will be given to volunteers who sign up in advance for a specific position and fulfill that position on race day.
Course Marshal for 3.5+ hours = $50 credit
Course Marshal under 3.5 hours = $25
Packet Pick Up & Registration or Parking Marshal for 1.5+ hours = $20 credit
Course Clean Up 2+ hours = $25 credit

8:30 am - 1 pm Course Marshal & Aid Stations on Course*
*Most shifts are shorter - please inquire for schedule & details.
9:30 am - 1 pm Finish Line
VOLUNTEER CHECK IN
Check in with race director Piper Ruiz before your shift at Bridgeport Market/Boardwalk (75 Harbor St) next to the finish line on race day. Your check in time will be emailed to you.
