Due to snow and ice on the course, the 2018 - 18 mile race starts at Trail Bridge Trail Head and has about a quarter mile on hard packed dirt to thin out racers before getting onto the single track trail. Participants continue on McKenzie River Trail, with an out and back stick passing Belknap Road to a turn around point at the Ranger Station and then back to Belknap Hot Springs to the finish line.
