All of our events are chip timed by Eclectic Edge Racing. Results will be available at the red timing truck and online at www.EclecticEdgeRacing.com. You can also click on our results tab at the top of our website to see results.
RACE BIB ETIQUETTE
Wear your race bib so it is clearly visible on the front of your shirt/shorts, not on your back. Leave the bottom perforated tag on your bib - it will be removed at the finish line. Please do not crumple, tear or modify your bib.
PACKET PICK UP
Packets will be available at Belknap Hot Springs Lodge & Gardens in the lobby on Friday, April 13th from 5 pm - 7 pm and on Saturday starting at 6:30 am. The 18 mile packets will be taken to the 18 mile start line at 8:00 am. The 5 Mile packets will be taken to the 5 Mile start at 9:15 am. It is not necessary to have the race bib on to get on the shuttle bus, which will pick up under the awning in front of the lodge at Belknap, but it is necessary to register to participate in the event. Any turkeys, people who run the race without paying will be required to pay the full entry fee immediately. "Pacing" or running part of the race and pulling off of the course for which we have secured permits, insurance, etc. is not permitted under any circumstance.
BAG CHECK AT THE START LINES
Bring your own bag or use the clear plastic bag at the start line and clearly write your name AND bib number on your bag. All bags must be labeled and inside Buffy, the Pink Buffalo black van, 5 minutes before your start time. All bags can be picked up at the finish line. If you leave your bag at the finish line, you can request it to be mailed to you and cover the cost of shipping by emailing Piper@PinkBuffaloRacing.com. Include your name, phone number, items, and mailing address.
COURSE LIMIT & TRAIL ETIQUETTE
The course limit for the 18 mile run is 5 hours, which is 16:40 per mile. Racers must make it to the following trail head aid stations by the following times:
TRAIL BRIDGE, Mile 8 - 11:15 am
DEER CREEK, Mile 13 - 12:40 pm
BUCK BRIDGE, Mile 16.5 - 1:35 pm
Participants who do not make it to these locations by the cut off times will be pulled from the course and driven back to the finish line.
The course limit for the 5 mile is 2 hours, which is an average of 24 minutes per mile.
Please respect the trail and do not throw any trash, especially energy gel wrappers, on the trail. Wait until you reach an aid station to toss your trash. If you are passing someone, please call out, "On your left!" before you pass. The trail is open to regular day users, so please make sure you are respectful of their experience. Thank you in advance.
Book your room, RV site, campsite or cabin today by calling 541.822.3512. There is normally a 2 night stay minimum requirement, but they are waiving the minimum for racers and you can stay one evening if you prefer. CLICK HERE to see what is available. Then reserve online for 2 nights or call to reserve 1 night and tell them you are with the race. We provide a spaghetti dinner on Friday, April 13 from 5 pm - 7 pm for $16/person, including spaghetti or zucchini spaghetti, a salad bar, a roll, a piece of delicious homemade pie and tea at the lodge. The deadline to reserve your seat at dinner is Sunday, April 8th at midnight by registering online and indicating how many dinners you're purchasing. The dinner is not included in the entry fee. Lodge check in is at 3 pm daily and check out is at 11 am. You receive pool access included in your stay through 11 am Saturday. After you finish, you'll receive a pool ticket from Pink Buffalo Racing for an hour in the pool. All pool users must shower in the provided facilities before entering the pool. You do not have to stay overnight at Belknap - you can drive up race morning. If you know others who are coming, please carpool, as parking is limited.
The dinner is not included in the entry fee, it is $16/person. Get ready for a delicious spaghetti dinner on Friday, April 13 at Belknap Hot Springs from 5 pm - 7 pm. You can't beat this delicious spaghetti w/ meat sauce (vegetarian options available), salad, bread rolls, pie, and tea are included. So, if you are registering and you would like to reserve a dinner, that is $16. If you're racing and you're bringing someone who isn't, you can add that person's dinner online or send $16 check to Pink Buffalo Racing, PO Box 5404, Eugene, OR 97405 per person who will be dining with you. If you send a check, please write a note with your name and the person's name you're adding. Dinner reservations are open through April 10th at midnight.
The shuttle will pick up participants under the awning in front of Belknap Hot Springs Lodge. Shuttle departure times are based upon preference indicated during registration process. Once a shuttle departure time fills, registrants will have the choice of other shuttle departure times.
If a registrant misses the shuttle with his/her departure time, the participant needs to find his/her own way to the start line. (There are no shuttles back to vehicles at the start lines after the race starts.) Parking is available at the 18 mile start.
Each registrant will have a shuttle departure time printed on their race bib, according to what she/he chose while registering.
The shuttle service to the 5 mile starting line at Deer Creek Rd will depart from Belknap Hot Springs with shuttle departure times printed on the race bib, according to what registrants chose. Parking is NOT available at the 5 Mile Start. You may be dropped off at the start lines. There is NO shuttle back to your car at the starting line, should you park at the 18 mile start. Please carpool as parking at Belknap is limited.
POST RACE REFRESHMENTS
After you finish, enjoy a complimentary lunch in the dining area, provided by Pink Buffalo Racing. Spectators should plan to bring their own food & beverages.
Shirts will be available for pre-order through the online registration process & they are $22/each through February 28.
For the safety of participants, dogs are not allowed on the course. Please do not leave your dog in your car at the finish line.
CANCELLATION & TRANSFER POLICY
You can transfer your entry to another person through April 11th at 5 pm, Pacific Standard Time for a $10 fee. Do not wear someone else's bib number. All who participate must register. Pacing without registering is prohibited.
RULES FOR TRANSFERRING AN ENTRY: Once an entry has been transferred through the process below, the entry cannot be transferred to another person, or back to the original registrant. If a shirt was ordered, the original shirt size ordered will be given to the new registrant. The new registrant may exchange the shirt for a different size at packet pick up table on the for sale shirt race. There are no refunds, partial refunds or deferrals to future years or other events. The transferer and transferee are responsible for squaring up payment of the entry fee and transfer fee - no refunds or checks will be written by the race director. No exceptions will be made. No variations of this procedure will be accepted. By transferring an entry through the method below, you acknowledge these rules.
